Everyone wants to save some money but let's be reasonable. I can get you travel deals as cheap as you want them to be. If
your only focus is on the lowest price don't kid yourself it is not going to get something very desirable. The more realistic focus is finding the vacation package or travel deal that has
the most value at the lowest price. If something is cheap but has no value, any price you pay is too much and a waste of money.
Many of our customers who take a reasonable approach to finding travel deals find good deals once they compare destinations and the
differences each resort offers. Don't expect to get something for nothing. Remember you are spending the most valuable time you have...your vacation time. You work all year for
these days off to get away and spend time with your friends and family. This is not the time to ruin it by overly focusing on cheap.
Spend some time talking with your travel agent and lay out what you expect to pay. A good agent will eliminate those things that
are completely out of line and work to find the best deals for you. My objective has always been to save my clients time and money and come in under their budget. I want a return
customer and the only way to get one is to do a good job for the client. Price is important to everybody. Cheap travel is everyone's objective. However you will get more for
your money if you can get a luxury package cheaply than paying good money for something that is virtually worthless.
The trick to getting a cheap vacation is finding a travel agent that knows the vacation market and putting them to work for you. Arm
them with the truth about what you are looking for. Be realistic about your dates, budget, times and where you want to go. Usually the client who says they can go anytime, anywhere,
for any length of time, at any price in reality can only go on very specific dates, on a very tight budget, and definitely does not want to go to whatever place the agent finds. It just
works out that way.
The best deals I have ever found for my clients I have found for those who call and say, "I can go between these dates but this is the
best date for me, I can stay for this period of time but this many nights is best, I'm looking for such and such, am willing to spend this amount of money and I do not want to go to this place or
that because of these reasons." That gives me the information I need to narrow down the long list of possibilities and get back to the client with the best price and reasonable suggestions.
Finding great travel deals should not be a contest or guessing game between you and your agent.
